The Program

The insurance program has been arranged by Chit Chats for the benefit of it’s business shippers. The program is administered by Meslee Insurance Services and backed by Navigators Insurance Company (HUB International and Hartford Fire Insurance Company in Canada).

Who Can Insure

Chit Chats Business Shippers can insure up top $300 USD for International parcel and $400 USD for Domestic (Within Canada) shipments.

What countries are excluded from coverage?

Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burundi, Cote d'ivoire (Ivory Coast), Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Liberia, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Myanmar (Burma), Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Republic of the Congo, Russia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Yemen, Zimbabwe.

What Can’t Be Insured?

Accounts, bills, bullion, currency, deeds, evidence of debt, furs, original/fine art, computer chips, money, notes, securities, perishable cargo, precious/semi-precious stones, televisions, tickets, laptop computers, cellphones, personal goods, or similar property.

How Do I File A Claim?

Claims for damaged packages can be filed right away. Claims for lost packages can be filed after 15 days from the ship date for domestic (Within Canada) packages, or 30 days for international packages.
